french riviera

WOW guys did not realize how long it has been since I have updated my blog. Well then I have a lot to tell you about. So last I updated I just got back from Florence and Chianti. Since then I went to the French Riviera and Nadia came and visited me.
I went to the French Riviera about two weeks ago for a long weekend. While I was there I went to Eze, Antibes, Cannes, Monaco, and Nice. They were all so beautiful and I want to go back there so bad. Eze is a hill side village that has one of the most amazing views that overlooks the water and you can watch all the HUGE yachts coming in to port. After we left Eze we went to Monaco and walked around for a while and had a delicious French lunch with some of my friends. I got to see the Princes Palace, which was not nearly as beautiful as some of the other building around Monaco. After we saw the Palace we walk over to the famous Monte Carlo Casino. ON our walk we saw so many amazing expensive cars. Everywhere we looked it was a Rolls Royce, Ferrari, or Lamborghini. It got to the point where these cars lost their shock appeal. Then once we got to the casino it was a never ending line of fancy cars and stores that were way out of my league. When we got in to the casino I had to check my camera because you cannot take pictures inside, so I’ll try to describe the beauty. The ceiling is covered in gold and there are hand painted pictures of flowers, kids, scenery and looks a lot like you are in a palace. The floors are marble and there are a bund of closed doors that lead to private gaming areas. ( like in the James Bond movie Casino Royal) Then at the far end of the rectangular shaped room there is a door with guards outside. This is where you go if you want to play table games (black jack, craps, poker ect.). I did not go in to this area because you had to pay 10 Euros just to get in to the room. After walking around for about an hour more we got back on the bus and headed back to our hostel. That night we ate dinner there and then went out to a pub and walked around Nice at night. The next day we went to Antibes and walked around and got to see where some of the biggest and most expensive yachts in the world dock. I was the worlds most expensive sail boat which is called the Maltese Falcon. With this sail boat all you have to do is hit a button and the sails and boat run its self. After walking around and gawking and all the really pretty toys we got back on the bus and headed to Cannes. Cannes is where one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals is held every year. One we got there we walked over and saw the building of the film festival which did not seem very impressive from the outside. After we saw that we walked around Cannes and saw more amazing cars, just like Monaco had. While we were there I got to be a creeper and watch a wedding, which was fun. Then after Cannes we headed back to our hostel and had dinner. That night me and three of my friends went out to the most amazing night club I have ever seen and danced till the early morning. The next morning was our last day so we got up early and went out and explored Nice. We spent some time on the beach for maybe an hour and then walked around the city. The beach in Nice was all stones but because of the waves the stones were all smooth. The water there was so blue that it looked fake. After Nice we got back on the bus for a ten hour bus ride back to Roma.
